Fitness Coaching

Would you like to improve your whole body strength, mobility, and movement skill without going to gym? Address nagging injuries or chronic pain without being at the whim of insurance companies covering your physical therapy? Would you like to enjoy your workouts and be able to do them anywhere?
I’d love to help you with this! Our fitness sessions revolve around ground-based locomotions (eg animal movements and crawling patterns) and other bodyweight exercises to enhance movement power, range, and control—helping you move with greater ease and confidence in everyday life. Each program is tailored to build on your abilities, targeting your movement and fitness goals. This practice not only builds physical capability but also deepens your body awareness, making it a perfect complement to massage therapy and an empowering path toward lasting resilience and vitality.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong
Tai chi and qi gong are related and interwoven Chinese movement arts. Tai chi is an internal martial art, placing more emphasis on skill than external strength. I practice and teach the Cheng Man Ching tai chi style primarily as exercise and self-exploration, though maintain interest in the martial expression as well. Tai chi is an excellent practice to learn to reintegrate the body in movement and stillness.
Qi gong simply means qi cultivation (which tai chi could be considered a form of as well). Qi gong movements tend to be smaller and more subtle than tai chi. They are usually done standing, sometimes walking or even seated. The focus is usually even more internal and subtle than tai chi.
